PATRICIA "PAT" ANN (SCHOONOVER) CHAMBLEE I was born March 22, 1932 at home in Haines City, FL to Elsie Merle (Bradbury) Schoonover and Clarence H. Schoonover. Mother was the daughter of Louesta (Meyers) Bradbury and Clark F. Bradbury. She was born in 1904 in Fort Wayne, IN. My father was the son of Bertha (Peterson) Carson and Emil Carson. He was born in 1900 in Red Oak, Iowa. He apparently took the name of Schoonover after his parents were divorced and his mother remarried. My parents met in Fort Wayne, IN and later moved to Haines City, FL. 
Patricia Ann Chamblee
I have an older brother, Paul H. Schoonover, born in 1927. He met Grace Stokes in Phoenix, AZ, while he was stationed at Luke Field, AZ. They were married in 1947 and have two daughters. I have a twin sister, Clarrissa Ann Getsinger. She married Vernon Getsinger in 1953 and had five children. They were divorced in 1980. My father married Mary Redmond. After an explosion at the plant in Norfolk, he had bad health and we moved to Elberton, GA. I went from the seventh through the eleventh grade there. (There were only eleven grades then.) Our second child, Barbara Ann Chamblee was born in 1956 in Anderson. She is a graduate of Anderson College. She and George Fred Taylor, Jr. married in 1978 and have two boys, George Fred Taylor IV and Corey Barton Taylor. They live in Anderson. Alan Harold Chamblee was our third child, born in Anderson in 1957. He is a graduate of Clemson University and is a civil engineer. He married Margaret Ann King in 1986. Their two daughters are Olivia Meg Chamblee and Emily Ann Chamblee and they all live in Anderson. Wanda Lynn Chamblee was our fourth child, born in Anderson in 1957. She is a graduate of Clemson University and a teacher. She married Stephen Gregory Potts in 1952. They have two children, Madison Victoria Potts and Stephen Gregory Potts, Jr. They live in Clemson, SC. |

Sources: documents, cemeteries, family members. WAYNE M. GALLOWAY Wayne Galloway was born 1934 in Lacombe, Alberta Canada. His adopted father was Eldon Galloway and his mother Goldie Ferguson. His siblings are Joanne, Donalda, Frank, Carmen and Jeff. The family moved to Vancouver, WA in 1939. Wayne and Shirley Houser met during their ‘teen job’ of picking beans when they were 16 years old and later married. Drafted in the Army in1955 and spent 2 years in El Paso, Tx. Wayne also spent 20 years in the Air Force Reserves, retiring in 1993. Wayne and Shirley have 5 children, Victoria, Kevin, Elizabeth, Aaron and Rebecca. They were involved in church, school and political activities in Vancouver. Wayne climbed many N.W. mountains and taught himself construction trades. He has remodeled seven houses, now working on a dog trot house in Alabama. They both love genealogy research and traveled east and south many times before moving to Anderson County, SC to be closer to their ancestral research. 
Frank “Bud” and Oma (Earp) Galloway
Eldon Galloway was born in Chester, MT In January, 1911. His father was Frank ‘Bud’ Galloway and his mother was Oma Earp. His siblings are Crystal, Kenneth, Rita, Wylie, Darrel, Vera, Lois and Robert. The family left Alberta in 1938 for Vancouver, WA where Eldon worked in construction and later for Alcoa, where he retired as a shift supervisor in 1973. His second marriage was to Agnes Rustvold in 1957. She died of cancer in February 1975, and he then married Jeanne Roloff in June 1975. Eldon passed away in January 1998. He was known as a good and fair supervisor at Alcoa. Frank “Bud” Galloway was born in Bowers Mill, Missouri in1886. He was the youngest son of Francis Marion and Melvina (Henson) Galloway. He married Oma Earp in Stavely, Alberta in 1908, where Frank had homesteaded. Oma was first cousin to Wyatt Earp and she was born in 1890 in Finley, Ohio. Frank left Alberta, Canada in 1937 for Vancouver, WA where he worked in construction and then at Alcoa where he retired in 1956. Grandpa ’Bud’ passed away in 1957. (339 words) Submitted by Wayne M. AND ORGANIZATIONS CONEROSS BAPTIST CHURCH John B. Brewer and his wife, Nancy Sargent resided in the Eastern Subdivision of Anderson County when the 1850 Census was taken. The Census shows that John B. Brewer was born about 1814 in SC and research reveals that he probably died after 1880 in Pickens County, Alabama. He |
was a farmer and owned land in Anderson County.
By 1860 John B. and Nancy Brewer and their
family had moved to Pickens District, Walhalla,
SC. The Brewer family joined Coneross Baptist
Church and there John B. Brewer served as a
deacon and church clerk and on the committee
to build a new meeting house. Nancy probably
died sometime between the 1860 and 1870
Census since John B. Brewer appears on the 1870
Census with his wife Eliza. Research shows that
John B. Brewer was married to Nancy Sargent,
Hannah Farmer, Eliza Jaynes and possibly a
Hubbard. Eliza Jaynes Brewer died sometime
after 1900 in Pickens County, AL. John B. Brewer
had the following children: Mary Ann born 1834.

Martha Jane born May 26, 1837, died July 16, 1895, married Andrew A. Smith who died in the civil war and then Elias J. Strickland. Elizabeth C. born 1840. William F. G. born 1843. James Holland born Sept. 02, 1847, died Oct. 10, 1916, married Mary Elizabeth. Sarah L. born Oct. 17, 1848, married William Dyer Wall. Josiah Brewer born 1849, died June 1, 1920, married Sarah Kizzie Garrett and then Frances A. Estes. Dica Emily born 1851, died 1939, married a Smith. Amanda M. born January 2, 1853, died July 3, 1926, married Wade Lowie. John Brewer born 1855. At this time we do not know which wife was the mother of which children, with the exception of James Holland whose mother is named on his Death Certificate as Hannah Farmer, and the three children born between the 1850 and 1860 Census. Jim Harper volunteered in the Army on 3/1962- 3/1965. My first six months was in basic training and Signal Corps School at Ft. Gordon, GA. The next two years I was stationed at Wildflecken, Germany and provided communications for our base, being stationed with Headquarters Company. My training was as a radio/telegraph security operator.
